Riot

Riot was offered to us by another program for free. His breeder was a ok breeder with proper health tests on all their dogs and genetic panels detailing that they did not carry a dilute gene. Despite Riot never being a candidate for breeding, some people have taken it upon themselves to try and make us feel guilty for winning him. We drove to Arizona to bring him home at 10 weeks old.  For his first year home, Riot trained for service work but after numerous off leash dog attacks, Riot was washed. He was supposed to fill the shoes of Ruckus passing on. Riot is the most lab there is. Food motivated, toy motivated, eager to retrieve and always going. Due to his breeder short sight of breeding two already high drive show lines together, Riot tends to be high strung and intense. Lucky for us he is a lovey lab boy without a mean bone in his body. Riot would rather let a dog kill him  (we have seen him not fight back during any attack) then stand up for himself. He is 70lbs of unconditional love and tolerance. Riot however can be a bit of a narcissist. He enjoys being the center  of attention and will retrieve until he bleeds. We are working on getting Riot into sport but his mental and physical health comes first. Riot is the perfect example of why Labs are not beginner dogs or family dogs.
