Staryu

Staryu's half brother was euthanized around 2 years old from elbow dysplasia. His original owners were given Staryu without his papers as a replacement puppy under their contract. The two looked remarkably alike and for awhile they tried to make it work. They took Staryu to  basic training with the same person we adopted Rumble from. When they decided to donate him to a service dog program, his current trainer remembered how well we did with Rumble and offered us Staryu. We drove down to Missouri and tested his placement options and the rest is history. Staryu is an energetic high to medium drive dog. He enjoys herding toys but gets along well with cats. He is a dream to work with due to his tolerant nature and eager to please attitude. He loves his handler deeply and is happiest at her side. We hope for Staryu to pass his OFAs, get his all three levels of cgc and then graduate our program as a silver level Service Dog. Although with the right conditions I do believe he could go for the Gold.
